Mrs Bates,I have so many memories of Sunday mornings when I was young, of Mr Bates stopping in to visit, that big smile, sitting at the kitchen table for coffee, the gentle way he was always interested in all of us, the strong and wonderful friendship you and your husband had with my parents. I am saddened by the news of his passing even though I know with my whole heart that he really is in a better place. My gosh, it just occurred to me, he's with Dad!
