Everyone had a pepere or a grandpa, i had a poppie, and he was the greatest. Growing up with my poppie was the greatest, every sunday was a family dinner mom would make a big dinner and my grammy and Poppie would be there. After dinner poppie would talk about the "old days" and what i wouldn't have gotten away with back then. And then there was my nickname, Jennifer Jones, for the love of God i couldn't figure out why he called me that, and most of the time i would run around the house screaming "no no no, thats not my name" but he always call me Jennifer Jones. As i would leave the house and just about to give him a kiss he would say " bye jennifer Jones." And now i'm happy i've got that name, it's something from my poppie. So poppie may you rest in peace!
Love Your Grandaughter,
"Jennifer Jones" Blackmer

Uncle Ronnie was the closest thing to Paul Bunyon on earth for me. Strong, tall, broad, and lean, with a hansome chiseled face that held eyes that let you know just what he was thinking even when he wasn't saying anything. I look back at the times when summer vacations brought Lance, Anita, and I to Ronnie and Cheryl's where we played endless hours with Little Ronnie and Craig running wild over the farm. Whenever I think of Uncle Ronnie I will always see the man of my youth that had a quiet strength that could move mountains.
Dear Aunt Cheryl you are all in my thoughts and prayers. Love Natalie & Jeff

The aunts and uncles used to get together all the time to play cards, have a few drinks, and laugh. One of the funniest times I ever saw Uncle Ronnie was at mom and dad's "backwards party." All the adults had to wear there clothes backwards and Uncle Ronnie had to keep getting help from Aunt Cheryl to help him get his pants undone whenever he had to use the bathroom. Of course, we kids were supposed to be asleep in bed, but we couldn't resist sneaking a peek at all the crazy adults! Rest in peace, uncle. You will be missed.
Love, Lisa

One of my earliest memories of Uncle Ron was when I was seven years old. He came to my house to help my Dad work on his car. I thought he was so wonderful. He brought my sister Pat and I candy. He was so handsome. I will always remember the good times we had as a family. As I grew up, life became busy and we all went in different direction Somehow I spent less time with family but I always knew they would be there if I needed them. That included Uncle Ronnie. Aunt Cheryl, and family, he will always be a part of you and me. Love you all. Your niece and cousin. Lynn
