Obituary of Francis A. Bernklow
Francis A. Bernklow, 62, of North Waterboro, Maine died recently at his home. He was born December 28, 1942 in Putnam, son of the late Frederick and Marjorie (Corkun) Bernklow.
He had made his home in Thompson most of his life, moving to Maine 14 years ago. He was employed as a computer programmer, at Great West Life Insurance Company. He had a great enthusiasm for Classic Cars, a great passion for genealogy and spent hours researching his family, he made many trips to Germany to trace his family heritage. He also had stepped a foot in all fifty states. He served with the U S Marine Corps.
He leaves a son: Donald Bernklow of Thompson; three daughters: Debra Correia of Zeffer Hills, FL: Denise Weaver of Danielson; Donna Bernklow of Ocala, FL; two brothers: Ralph Bernklow of Stowe, MA; David Bernklow of Cape Cod, MA; a sister: Virginia Baskenof Groveland, MA; three grandchildren: Rebecca Weaver; Andrew Weaver and Sierra Correia; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son: Wesley Bernklow; two brothers: his twin- Frederick Bernklow; Harold Hatch.
The Funeral will be Monday at 11:00 AM in the Smith & Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam. A calling hour will be Monday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Burial in West Thompson Cemetery with military honors. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to a charity of ones choice.
