Obituary of Darlene M. Warren
Darlene M. Warren, 45, of W. Thompson Rd, Thompson, died Thursday peacefully at home surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved wife of Brian M. Warren, they were married September 29, 1979 in St Mary Church. She was born April 30, 1960 in Putnam, daughter of Leonard R. and Evelyn P. (OConnell) Mathieu, Sr. of Woodstock.
She was a communicant of ST Mary Church of the Visitation, a graduate of Woodstock Academy class of 1978 and the Dudley Hall Career Institute, receiving a Legal and Medical Secretary Degree. She was employed as a legal Secretary at Crabtree & Evelyn in Woodstock and later at the Law Firm of Sarantopolous. Her last employment was as a Court Monitor working in the Putnam, Danielson and Willimantic Courts. She had also worked at the Fallon Institute in Sturbridge. She enjoyed crocheting and all types of crafts. She was a loving and caring daughter, wife, mother and sister, her family always came first.
She leaves in addition to her husband and her parents, her two sons: Brian M. Warren of Thompson; Chris M. Warren of Webster, MA; slibings: Leonard Mathieu, Jr. of Killingly; Donald Mathieu of Anaheim, CA: Kathleen Viens of Brooklyn; David Mathieu of York, SC; Ronald Mathieu of York, SC; Many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
The Funeral will be Monday at 10:00 AM from the Smith & Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in ST Mary Church of the Visitation. 218 Providence St., Putnam. Burial in ST Mary Cemetery. Calling hours Sunday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Funeral Home. Donations may be made in her memory to St. Francis - Mount Sinai Regional Cancer Center, St. Francis Foundation, 95 Woodland Street, Hartford, CT 06105.
