Eileen Curran, R.N. posted a condolence
To the Family of Ann Edwards: When I think of Ann, all I can think of is a Poem I learned as a child which makes me think of Ann and her total dedication as a Hospice Nurse."I think that I shall never see, a Poem as Lovely as a Tree. A Tree that may in Summer's wear, a Nest of Robin's in Her Hair. Poem's are made by Fools like me, BUT ONLY GOD CAN MAKE A TREE ".
Ann, you touched so many hearts in your Family, Friends and Being a Hospice Nurse. When I heard you name over the WINY Radio Station, I knew it was familiar but didn't know exactly why. After your Wake and Funeral, I read your Obituary in the Newspaper with your picture and then I knew. As a Hospice Nurse, you were accepted into many homes in several Communities our's being one of them. While my Husband Mike was alive with a Severe Brain Tumor and limited time left on this Earth, you were his Primary Care Nurse. We accepted you into our home like you were Family. Your jovial attitude often kept Mike laughing (including myself) yet you were very Professional and took the appropriate actions. I as a R.N can testify to that fact. Your Home Health Aides were a part of your team; Mike would sometimes give them a difficult time but never you for you knew how to joke around the situation or if need be become very stern and diplomatic. Will never be able to answer why God always takes the best first. Ann, I will miss you dearly for I believe we developed a True Friendship that will last forever. As I told Mike while he was expiring and I'm telling you now, tell God to save a Special Place Up In Heaven For All Of Us?? Everyone just remember, DYING IS ONLY A PART OF LIVING. Cordially with true friendship, Eileen Curran

It is with shock that I found out just today that an "old friend" has passed away. Ann and I grew up together, spent many nights sleeping over each other's houses and we felt very comfortable with each other's family. Though the years have passed and Ann and I went separate ways in life with moves and family, I still remember her smile and that wonderful laugh. I remember the dances at PCA and all the people I met through her. We had a wonderful friendship. We shared a lot of happy girlhood times and some not so happy, but we were there for each other for a long time. Ann - you will be missed by many people, myself included. Keep smiling there in Heaven and say "Hi" to my Mom and Dad for me. We will be able to hang out again someday when it's my time to be called. To Ann's family - my sincerest sympathies are sent to you at this difficult time. Just remember that Ann was the type of person who loved with all she had and hold that dear to you. She was one of a kind, for sure, and no one could ever come close to her. I am truly honored to be able to call her my friend. I wish we had stayed in touch Ann, but you are in my thoughts now and I cherish the memories. God speed you to a wonderful place!

She came to us at a time of difficulty and calmed us with sincereity and absolute confidence. She guided us with a gentle hand. She was truly an angel sent to help our loved one surrender life with peace and comfort, for that there will never be enough ways to thank her. For her family: Only when you drink from the river of silence-shall you indeed sing. When you have reached the mountain top-then you shall begin to climb. And when the earth shall claim your limbs- shall you truly dance. Anne is surely dancing now! Our thanks to you for your beautiful wife and mother. Our hearts break for you. To the Edwards family,
You will never know all the lives Ann has touched. You see, Ann was one of God's Angels that walked amoung us on this earth. It will be two years in February since I lost my beloved husband. Even when he was at his worst he looked forward for Ann to visit. Butch always said she was an angel sent by God to help him do his work on earth. Ann will never be forgotten. You know, Ann is now watching over all of you.

Ann was the nurse from Hospice that my family saw the most of when my mother was dying of cancer in 1998. Ann was an amazing support to all of us, and I was grateful for her strength and guidance right up to the very end, when she helped me prepare my mother's body for the expected arrival of the grandchildren. I grieve that she was taken from her own family at too young an age. Please accept my condolences.

Our prayers go out to Ann's entire family. She was a SUPER woman with a heart filled with so much love, she will be missed by so many. Ann not only took great care of our dad, she also helped our sister with her fight with brain cancer. When Ann showed up Deb would light up. She was not only a nurse, she was a friend that Deb could share your fears, worries and a piece of strawberry shortcake. She will be missed but will remain forever within our hearts! God is blessed for she has joined a special group of angels. Ann, spread your wings and share that love.

Ann was our neighbor, and every time we saw her, she was laughing and smiling. In the nice weather, you would always see something going on in the backyard.
