Obituary of Ann Marie Edwards

Ann Marie Edwards, age 47, of Red Cedar Road, Woodstock, died unexpectedly Monday morning at the Day Kimball Hospital in Putnam. She was the beloved wife of Joe Edwards, Jr., they were married in 1998. She was born November 14, 1958 in Putnam, daughter of Madeleine (Mandeville) Dion of Webster, MA and the late Leo Dion, Jr. She was a Registered Nurse, working for Hospice of Northeastern Connecticut as the Senior Hospice Nurse for the last 22 years. She has been a Certified Hospice Nurse for the last 10 years. She had made her home in Putnam and Woodstock all her life. She was active with many committees at Day Kimball Hospital. In 2004, Ann was Day Kimball Hospitals Employee of the Year. She was a loving and caring wife, daughter, mother, memere, sister and friend. She enjoyed having large family gatherings and barbecues, her family and friends always came first. She leaves in addition to her husband and mother, her children: Damion Edwards of Woodstock; Gia Dion of Woodstock; Knyisha Clinton of Webster, MA; her grandchildren: Markeith; Jaden; Scisha; Tavaris; Adrian; her brothers: Ronald Dion of Putnam; Michael Dion of Amston; Mark Dion of Southwick, MA and many friends. A Celebration of Anns Life will be Friday at 11:00 AM in ST Joseph Church, 18 Main St., North Grosvenordale. Calling Hours Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Smith & Walker Funeral Home 148 Grove Street, Putnam.
