Obituary of Yolande V. Cacciapuoti

Yolande Cacciapuoti, 97 of School St., Putnam died peacefully on Tuesday, December 20, 2005 at Westview Nursing Home. She was born in Putnam on February 14, 1908, the daughter of the late Louis and Eva Valade.

On September 22, 1936 she married Albert Cacciapuoti. He died in 1988. A resident of Putnam all her life, she was employed until her retirement by the Daughters of the Holy Spirit. Yolande was a member of the Daughters of Isabella, the Ladies of Ste. Anne, and the Annhurst Guild.

She was a person of great faith, a communicant of ST Mary Church of the Visitation and will be remembered for her love of family gatherings, her generosity in welcoming everyone into her home, and her sense of humor. She was an avid Huskies fan, she enjoyed traveling, knitting and crocheting, reading her daily newspapers, and keeping up with current events.

She is survived by seven children: Alberta Smith and her husband Lee of Enfield, Thomas and his wife Leena of Brooklyn, Marie Sampeck and her husband Michael of San Antonio, TX, Sister Anne Cacciapuoti, DHS of Putnam, Patricia Johnson and her husband Raymond of Putnam, J. Paul Cacciapuoti and his wife Janice of Brooklyn, Jeanne Prindle and her husband Terry of Putnam, CT. She was the beloved memere of 20 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by six brothers: Armand, Ulde, Joseph, Omer, Wilfred and Raymond Valade.

The Funeral will be Tuesday at 9:30 from the Smith and Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam followed by a 10:30 AM Mass of Christian Burial at ST Mary Church of The Visitation, 218 Providence Street, Putnam. Burial in ST Mary Cemetery, Putnam. Calling hours Monday 5:00 to 8:00 PM.
