My Special Angel
SHe's always watching over me,
i feel her presence near
she's always here to listen
and guides me through my fears
she's a very special angel
one god chose just for me
she once was my grandma here on earth
but that wasn't long to be
god called her home one night
my fear and rage did see
if he were a loving god,
why take my grandma away from me?
but in time i saw his plan
he unveiled for me to see
he had taken my grandma away
but he gave her back to me
there was only one thing different,
about this wonderous thing
she just tarded her house-dress
for a halo and snow white wings

I only saw Mrs. Sharples a few times as her Home Health Aide, but she left quite an impression. Her strength, courage, and sense of humor were awe-inspiring. I was also blessed to have Stephanie in my Girl Scout troop and I wanted to tell her that I recognized her picture in the living room. I told her Grandma how proud I was of Stephanie and how much I enjoyed being her leader. You have a guardian angel now, Stephanie. Let her love fill your heart and her courage, strength, and sense of humor inspire you as you travel through the rest of your life.

Jared & Alicia posted a condolence
Oma will be missed but never forgotten. The smile on her face always brightened up our day when we saw her. Alicia's only known Oma for about two years but in that time she has grown so close to her and Oma grew close to Alicia. This Christmas was the first Christmas that Oma sat down and visited with all of the family instead of running around getting the dinner prepared. Unfortunately she wasn't feeling well and battling the cancer, but it was nice spending the whole Christmas Day around her, we will both remember Oma telling us at Christmas that she never thought she would be in a wheelchair like myself and Alicia are, but we told her that she would get stronger and out of that wheelchair. Our favorite moment is Oma throwing the roll at Stephanie and we told Oma that we should start a wheelchair baseball team. Good times Oma, we love you and you will always be in our hearts.

Dear Grandma, You were a wonderful grandma to all of us you always knew how to make us laugh. Especially on Christmas when you threw the roll at me when you thought I was looking and aware you made us all laugh. The picture of you and grandpa at Destiny's birthday i blew it up and the blown up picture is above my bed and the original is in my locker. I miss you a lot you will always be with me and always alive in my heart. I will make sure that when i have kids they'll know what a great Grandma you were. and when the time comes i hope i can be a wonderful grandma just like you were. i love you.

Skip:
I haven't known Rosie all that long but I knew at once that I had met a crusty, tough "old girl" with a great sense of humor. One who could take it as well as she gave it. I'll always enjoy my memories of her verbally jousting with me and with others. Hopefully, she'll get plenty of mileage out of her experiences down here. As she holds Court up there on Cloud Nine, she can regale her Brethren and Schwestern with tales told "out of school" about all of us.
Dorothy misses Rosie's famous carrot cake already, as do I. But every time we try someone else's carrot cake, I know we will say "It's not Rosie's". But her carrot cake and her sense of humor will keep her alive in our memories and in the memories of all who tell stories about her and she will remain in the memories of those youngsters who hear of Rosie's exploits. Hopefully, the young ones will pass those memories of Rosie down to their posterity so she may live on down here for all eternity.
Wishing all the best to you and yours. May your grief be eased in the knowledge that it is shared by all who know her.
With love,
Ed and Dorothy Eby

Skip, Anne and your families;
My thoughts are with you at this time of sorrow. I will always remember Rosie's helpful ways at the suppers we served. He smile always had a bit of mishief behind it. It was an honor to have her as a sister and honored lady. God surely has made a place for her in heaven above, so take heart.

Skip, Anne, and Steve,
I empathize with your pain, but it is very difficult for me to express my feelings in words. Rosie lived life uninhibited, and I think she would agree with the sentiment in this poem.
Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free!
I follow the plan God laid for me.
I saw His face, I heard His call,
I took His hand and left it all...
I could not stay another day,
To love, to laugh, to work or play;
Tasks left undone must stay that way.
And if my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss...
Ah yes, these things I, too, shall miss.
My life's been full, I've savoured much:
Good times, good friends, a loved-one's touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief—
Don't shorten yours with undue grief.
Be not burdened with tears of sorrow,
Enjoy the sunshine of the morrow.
With all my love,
Sue

Skip,Anne, Steve and Family,
Our sincere Sympathy is extended to you. Rosie was a wonderful person, and a pleasure to know. We enjoyed seeing her and spending time with her. She probably told St. Peter a couple of dirty jokes as she passed through, and is now telling God a better way to run heaven. She was a great lady. We pray that God blesses her on he entrance into His Kingdom, and that He holds you in the palm of His hand during this grieving and sorrowful time. Whatever we can do for you just ask. God bless you all.
