Steve & Liz Becht posted a condolence
Dear Pat, Beth, and Chris, I don't if you remember us; Beth stayed at our house in Seneca Falls, NY during the Killingly Basketball tournament days of yesteryear.
Deb Hitchcock told us about Paul. We are so sorry about your loss. We have fond memories of our tourney days, sharing meals, stories about our kids as they grew up. We have much in common with the Orcutts - we're about the same age as Paul, we were married 2 weeks before you; we both have a daughter and son who are also the same age. I miss those days.
Life is full of unexpected turns. Nothing can prepare you for the loss of a loved one. You must now reach out to each other, your family and friends for strength. Cherish the memories with Paul and live your life the way he would have wanted.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Warmest Regards,
Steve and Liz Becht

Please accept my most sincere and deepest sympathies of your great loss. Your family's contributions to my son's life are more precious than word can express. Paul treated my family with the utmost respect and dignity, true character attributes that will endure through the ages. Our lives have been made better through your examples of love to one another. May God bring comfort, care, counsel and guidance in this time of loss. I believe Jesus is the only one who can add to your life by subtraction..it is difficult now, and joy will come as promised. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I got to know Paul while attending a management course at Zurich. Paul was so very bright; he shined in class. I recall the instructor mentioning what a great speaking voice Paul had and that he would be great in radio. Paul was upbeat, easy to laugh and always willing to help out but most of all, he just had such an honest warmth about him that made people aqutomatically like him. He spoke so often and proudly of his family and how he loved the water. I pray that good memories help carry you through this. We will miss him very much.

Our memories of Paul are of sharing many hours of watching our sons play basketball as they grew up together. Standing outside of many, many gymnasiums in many different towns and states during halftimes before going back in to sit on those bleachers. But I would'nt change a thing because those were great memories of our childrens school years and their growing up. What a wonderful family the Orcutt's are.
