Dear Memere, I am so glad that I got to see you this past Christmas before you passed from this life to another. Your love shines on me and on all those that touched you that you knew. I am glad that my father was with you when you passed from this life into the next and he cherished your love as we all did when you were on this Earth. I know that you are with your mother now and I take much joy in that but I still miss you, as I know my father does as my brother does, as my sisters do, as we all do. I love you still and pray that you are with us as you have always been and I pray will always be. With love and peace, Kim

Your strength and love were an inspiration to me. The wonder you found in everything taught me appreciation of little things one might take for granted. Thank you for sharing our mini adventures with us, it meant so much. The time we had together was short but everlasting. Now you are on the most wonderful adventure with your past loved ones. We arrived home last night to our icy home in the Great North Woods. Went out this morning and saw the majestic Presidential range and my thoughts wandered to our vacations here, and how much you loved the mountains. The service yesterday was beautiful, and you'd be proud to know that your family showed steadfast devotion and grace under pressure. It was amazing to see the son of a former governor deliver your eulogy, then shed tears over our loss. Our strength comes from you, be proud of what you have created. This family has learned well of the values you instilled, from respect shown to others, to duty to enjoy all that God or nature have provided. I have lived in areas where people vacation, but never lost sight of their beauty because that's what you taught me. For that, I am eternally grateful. With heavy heart I must now leave you...but know that you will always be part of me. With eternal love... your son...Norman...Peace...
