Obituary of Lillian L. Bellerive
Lillian L. Bellerive, age 80, of Sabin Street, Putnam, formerly of South Main Street and Vine Street, died Monday at her home. She was the wife of Marcel C. Bellerive. They were married July 4, 1942 in Danielson, he died March 11, 1998. She was born May 1, 1925 in Dayville, daughter of the late Napoleon and Laura (Bissonett) Grenier.
She was employed for 25 years at Rogers Corporation, retiring in 1984. She was a communicant of ST Mary Church of the Visitation, enjoyed traveling, going to the casinos, sewing, crocheting. She had a great love of wildlife, especially deer. She was a member of the ST Mary Church Visitation Ministry and a Eucharistic Minister.
She leaves a daughter: Theresa Gorski of Sterling, sons: Pete M. Bellerive of Putnam, Gerald P. Bellerive of Dayville, Norman Bellerive of Lancaster, NH, Michael Bellerive of Putnam, sisters: Jeannette Hiemer of Delaware, Doris Breault of Plainfield, Clair Potvin of Plainfield, Lucille Morency of Brooklyn, Aline Boyer of Delaware, brothers: Joseph Roland Grenier of Florida, Rene Grenier of Willimantic and Florida, Joseph Robert Grenier of Moosup, 14 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters, Yvette Mailloux, Lorraine Gould, brothers, Joseph Roger Grenier, Richard Grenier.
The funeral will be Friday at 10:00 am from the Smith & Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am at ST Mary Church Of The Visitation, 218 Providence Street, Putnam. Calling hours will be Thursday from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in ST Mary cemetery.
