It was a joy to work with Anita at Wal-mart and become familiar again with a wonderful couple. It was very surprising to find out the Charles has also helped to shape the character of the man who became our younger son-in-law. Although this is a tragic time for the closest relatives and friends there is a better time coming. Blessings to you all.

To all family members, It was our great pleasure to know your beloved Charlie. He was one of the friendliest people we knew. To meet him was to feel at home with him and you instantly felt at ease and like you knew him forever. He welcomed us to his home and we felt like a member of the family. He was a man of wisdom, experience, common sense and pride. He shared his love for his wife and family when he spoke with us. He was a deeply committed husband and father - a rare breed in today's society. He also shared with us his passion for gardening and gave us tips on treating compost, to planting in early spring, we just listened so eagerly to gain the knowledge and experience he had. He showed us around his gardens and home and we just enjoyed every minute with him. His other love was his grandchildren and he would share tidbits about each one so proud of who they were. We feel as though we also are losing a father. He made us feel like part of the family as well did Anita. We enjoyed the picnics in the back yard and just times we would visit. There door was always open. Our last visit was this past Christmas at the home of their son Pete and Jeff had a wonderful visit with Charlie and he will always cherish that memory. We loved him dearly and will miss him along with all of you. We would be proud to call him "Dad." If he were here today he would say he was blessed beyond measure. He had a good and wonderful life - he wouldn't change or ask for anything more. He loved his wife and he said one time of her - oh I wouldn't trade her for anything, a good wife is hard to come by and she is the best. He may be gone from us now but he definitely will never be forgotten. God bless you all and may the Lord grant you peace and comfort at this time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you though we are not there in person we are in spirit. To you Charlie we say thanks for making us part of your life. It's been grand.
Sincerely, Iris and Jeff Stinson

Andrew,
Tomorrow is going to be the toughtest day of your life so far and I wish that I were there to help you through it. I now how close you are to grandpa and I know that you are very sad and heart broken. But beside all the sorrow tomorrow (and in the days to come) try to remember the good times you spent with him and all the things you did together. You need to not only mourn his death but celebrate his life as well. In this way he will never be far from you...keep him alive in your heart!
Charlie was a good man, a good father and a good grandfather. He will be missed my many, including me! I love you Andrew, MOM
