Winnie was truly a gracious presence in the Pomfret School office. Winnie and Evelyn were quite a duo representing Pomfret School some thirty to forty years ago. Can it really be that long? Admiring her garden on Route 44--thank you for mentioning that in the newspaper story--as we drove by helped us remember Winnie. We send fond thoughts to Walter, Kay, Judy and all the family.

Kate,
I have often wondered about your grandparents, whenever I drive by thier house. I came across your grandmother's news purely by accident. I am sorry to hear of her passing, yet amazed at her longevity. I will always remember all of our fun times at her house; the many sleepovers, the goats, the strawberry patch, the oatmeal your grandmother would make us in the morning, the time the stove pipe had a fire in it, you trying to teach me how to play her piano...it was like my second home as a child! I hope you are well, and if you read this please feel free to contact me. My condolences to you and your family!

Kay,
We are deeply saddened by the loss of your Mother. Althought we did not know your Mother, you have been an important part of my children's past. You have always been in our thoughts and as Christine told you, in our conversations about favorite teachers.
You will continue to be in our thought and prayers. Please extend our sympathies to your family.
With love,
Carol Peters, Mark Peters, Christine Peters-Ryan and Keri Peters-Scheuritzel
