My Dad he was always there for everything. I don’t have one childhood memory with out him. When I did not want to go to school he was there to push me through. Now look at me graduating with a degree in Education.
He was there for everything ever if he had been up since 3 in the morning he would be there for everything. He may have been sleeping in the back row but he was there. One of the best things he ever did was take us out on dates. He would take one of us at a time and take us out to dinner. I don’t remember what we would talk about but it didn’t matter because I was with my daddy.
When I was sick he would sit with me on the couch and warm my feet. When I was sick I put him through so much but he did not care because he loved me. When I need help with homework or struggling to read something we would sit at the kitchen table for hours after dinner till I got it.
Every night he would read us a bed time story and tuck us into bed it did not matter how old we were he was always there at bed time.
He was the type of person that you could go to for anything, any problem he would help you solve it. When it was time to look at colleges he told us that we could go anywhere we wanted. But he would make sure that he took us there so we knew how far away from home we really were. He never held us back. Always pushing us to be our bests and trying as hard as we could. My mom told me once that dad gave you your wings. Even though I have my wings because of my parents I will always know were home is and how to get there. He taught me the value of family and friends. But the only thing you really need in life is GOD. Everything else will just fall in place. As long as you put God first in your life you will have everything you’ll ever need. My dad was the best dad in the world.

I am so very saddened to hear the news of Jim's death. He was always a friend to Cherry Valley Herb Farm, and more particularly - to me. His honesty, knowledge and love of living things and gentle nature made a visit with him a hightlight to any day. I believe he is now at peace and bringing a smile to his mom's face. Until we meet again, Jim, enjoy a well-deserved rest! Fondly, Susan

A Man of God who welcomed us into his life as part of his family. Jim was a friend in the line that Jesus spoke of in scripture, one who you could trust with your life. As a mentor he led by example, always guiding toward the Lord for the correct answer. To find a man as Godly as Jim in this day and age is nothing short of a true Blessing from God.
You will be missed greatly Jim as you know you and your entire family are greatly loved by our family.
May the Lord crown you richly,

Rick, Jimmy's brother, and I were good friends in high school. Jimmy was the younger brother that we never minded having around. I remember fond memories with Jimmy, Rick and I staying up a good part of a night at a sleep over at the lake. I still remember Jimmy's deep laughter responding to some outlandish joke, story or action.
I regret that I could not be there Tues. and I cannot come on Sat. My job is one that is very hard to get time off. To the Logees, I always remember the good times we had at the family home, in the greenhouses and at the lake.
Jimmy and all of your family are in my prayers.
Sincerely,
Vance

Two of my fondest memories of Jim involve him working with me on the waterfront at camp, and 'joining' the camp committee. As a JS, Jim took live saving and volunteered to be the 'submerged victim' going to the bottom of 'S Pool' and holding his breath until someone pulled him up. As a young parent, he approached me after camp on a Friday evening and asked how he could become involved with the camp committee. We were always looking for new, interested people. He has made an impact on our Foundation and our Camp Program.

I wanted to share my condolences with the entire Logee family. Although it has been many years since I've had much contact with Jimmy I still consider him to be one of my close friends. I was at 4-H camp when Jimmy and Jessican were CAmp Spirits together and we were there together for many many years after that. Jim taught canoeing when I was a lifeguard and Waterfornt Director. WHenever I think of him I have a beautiful image of his strong and ever so graceful stroke paddling the Firebringer to closing ceremonies at Camp. It's a beautiful memory of a great guy. My heartfelt sympathies to all his family and friends. May his paddle home to heaven be on peaceful still waters.

The New London County 4-H Camp has lost a true friend and wonderful man in the 4-H camping community who truly inspired us all. Jim's positive attitude and determination to make the most out of every opportunity will be sorely missed.
Your legacy will live on in the thousands of children you have reached Jim at your Windham-Tolland 4-H Camp, and all of those who had the honor of knowing you.
I'm glad we had the chance to visit this past summer at your camp - I've learned a great deal from you my friend.

Once in a lifetime a person is privileged to find a true friend. Jim was my Christian brother and my best friend. We prayed together, read the Bible together, laughed and cried together and loved our Lord Jesus Christ. Jim was there to help me in my early Christian life and was by my side when I was in the ministry. He is now at home with the Lord he loved. The saddness we feel is not for Jim but rather for those of us who were blessed because of him. I look forward to eternity where my friend and I will walk together again.

Oh my...I am so very sorry to hear this terrible news. I have many fond memories of Jim. He taught me a lot about nature, the clouds, the moon, wooly caterpillars, when to plant and when not to. He always spoke of his children with such pride. I just cannot believe that he is gone at such a young age. My heart goes out to your family. I truly cared for this gentle man. He will always be in my heart whenever I see the harvest moon, various clouds, and while I am waiting to plant my annuals "only after the first full moon in May". Faye, Keri, Heather & Jessica,
You have all been so blessed to have such a wonderful man for a husband and father.
Our lives were touched and changed from the moment we met him.We shall never forget Faye & Jim coming to our home in South Killingly nearly 12 years ago responding to us from an ad in a newspaper looking for a church to go to.
We remember all the times we sat and ate together at your home and ours and what fun and laughter we all shared !
Savannah says she always remembers Mr. "Wogee" and how he always put her on his shoulders for "piggie back" rides!
Thanks to you Jim, my kids will never eat mushrooms again because you told my kids they were a fungus!
:-)
Aside from all the fun and laughter and fond memories we have shared, there were
some very serious moments we shared fill with love and support. We LOVE you for that.
" Oh death. where is thy sting? Oh grave, where is thy victory? "
Please keep our room tidy in the mansion.......
We hope our mansions are next door to one another so we can share more laughter and love!
Well done, thou good and faithful servant!
We love you and your family and look forward to spending eternity with you.
Love,
Angela, Charles, Darryl & Savannah

Auntie Kath posted a condolence
Jim was first a family man. He loved his girls. He was a man of deep faith and great courage. Gramma said if he was not a florist he would have made a great minister. He gave to his community. He loved the teenagers best and believed in everyones great potential. Few people would volunteer the time and energy he gave to youth. He did not think twice about it. He was my kid brother and I will miss him dearly. Forty eight years of memories flood my mind. From pushing "my baby" in his carriage when he was born to the great trips we took around New England and camp work we shared as young adults to raising our families close by and sharing their dreams to sharing our work life; the memories flood my mind. I will miss his gentle, kind spirit.I will miss the great peacemaker he was. I will miss the unending positive support and love I was so blessed with having Jim as my kid Brother.
