“Tubby” was a great friend to my parents, Bernard and Yvonne Page. Through them I got to know Tubby quite well. Bernard was the one who convinced him to join the Inactive Navy Reserves after WWII. They both ended up being recalled for the Korean War. Bernard went to Korea and I believe Tubby went to the Caribbean. When I worked at Alexander’s Lake in the summer clearing brush on the North Shore he would always stop and talk. When I returned from Vietnam he was the only one to thank me for my service. What a great guy. Rest In Peace my friend. “Home is the hunter, home from the hills, home is the sailor, home from the sea”
