Ken and I have lots of good memories of Dick. Great parties at Dick and Lorraine’s house, dances we attended, as well as sharing our dairy backgrounds and children the same ages. Our sympathy to all the family.

First on Bradley Street then on to South Main Street. both in Putnam, Dick Richmond supplied the Dempsey family with milk from the early 1940's until January 1961, when they moved to Hartford. Always genial, usually with a ready smile, this red-headed farmer seemed always to have a good word, a kind comment, a useful piece of advice. With him we moved from pasteurized to homogenized, from quarts to half-gallons, and he has remained a fond memory for us ever since. We are grateful for his presence in our lives; we mourn his loss; and we are grateful for the gift that he was.

To all of Dick's family, we send our deepest condolences. We have such great memories of Dick. From being a fun milkman who not only delivered milk, but also had ice cream treats he would add to our parents bill. And saying he was a great dancer is an understatement. Dick and Lorraine had a wonderful family. And we hope the wonderful memories are a great comfort to you all. You lived a good life Dick. God bless.
