Obituary of Richard L. Rogers
Richard L. Rogers, age 43 of Sterling, died unexpectedly Monday, September 24, 2007 at home. He was the beloved husband of Daria (Racki) Rogers. He was born September 12, 1964 in Hartford, son of the late Robert and Jean (Kniep) Rogers.
He made his home in Northeast Connecticut all his life. He was the co-manager of the Someplace Special Restaurant in Plainfield. He was the former manage of El Torito`s in Hartford. His hobbies included computers, gaming and working with electronics. Rich enjoyed model trains and building landscapes for his train set. He was a devoted and loving husband and stepfather and grandfather. His wife's best friend, Rich was her Champion.
He leaves his wife Daria, stepdaughter: Lina Bourgoin of Webster, MA, brother: Christopher Rogers of East Hartford, sister-in-law: Tara Rogers of Ashford, grandchildren: Paige and Desirae Bourgoin, Ashlee Goff, two nephews: Thomas and Tyler Rogers, several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by a brother Joseph Rogers. He also leaves his constant companion and best buddy, his Cocker Spaniel, Tory.
A celebration of Richard's Life will be Saturday, September 29th at the Sterling Park Campground, 177 Gibson Hill Road, Sterling, CT with a gathering from 1:00 to 4:00 PM. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to help with final expenses to Richard`s Memorial Fund c/o PO Box 297, Oneco, CT 06373.
