We've only just learned of Laura's passing. We lived down the street from Laura for a few years before we moved away 10 years ago, and Laura loved seeing our little kids, then a baby and kindergartner, and was always ready with a stuffed animal or gift for them. We had her over for dinner several times. What a joyful, sweet person she was. She told interesting stories about her life growing up, her husband, and the older times, and was just so kind and friendly. She was caring to people and to animals, including a stray cat she cared for. I'm sorry we fell out of touch after moving away, and we will remember her.
