Dear Carol, Tom, Tim, Tyler, and Tanner,
Bob and I were so deeply saddened to hear about Tim. He was our friend and neighbor, stopping by to talk about haying and the elusive topic of weather. He did so much for us over the years that it is hard to list all of them—mowing, brush hogging, fertilizing, and pulling out big trees for logging or firewood. The few things we did for Tim never made up for his generosity. He was always willing to help. The time I remember most vividly was when he brought his bucket loader down on a freezing January day to load a horse that had to be buried at the top of a field. I could not have managed that terrible time without Tim. We feel his loss profoundly. At the same time, I realize how lucky I was to have known him. I thank goodness for Tim and for the Davis family. You are the best neighbors we could ever have, and your beautiful farm inspires us every day.

My condolences to the Davis family. I ran into Tim many times on my way to work. He always had a smile on his face and was very generous with his time. Once I had a tree fall down in my front yard and Tim was quick to offer his farm machinery to help pull the tree around so that we could cut it up. It was no small project as the maple tree was over 3 feet in diameter. “ No problem. I have a bigger chain that can handle it”. He was a great neighbor and I appreciated the interactions I had with him. As we got older, conversations shifted to children and he kept me updated on the boys ventures and accomplishments. He was a good soul.

To the entire Davis Family:
Our heartfelt condolences on the passing of Timothy Davis Sr. As abutting neighbors to the Murdock Farm in Pomfret
we have enjoyed immensely the friendship of Tim Davis for his entire life. My kids grew up knowing Tim as a neighbor. Always pleasant spoken with a smile on his face whenever Tim came to the sawmill to pick up sawdust for animal bedding. Often too, Tim would pop into my sugar house when he saw the steam rising. He usually left with a sample.
Life can sometimes be hard but the friendship of people like Tim is something to be treasured. Tim was the real deal and will be missed by us all.

To the family of Timmy Davis,
Timmy was a good and dear friend of mine, whom I called on often for help, advice on tractors. He was extremely generous, thoughtful, and kind. Always willing to help and a wealth of knowledge when it came to tractors, people and the traditional way of farming. I will miss his friendship and spontaneous visits to my farm to catch up. He was special to my family and was always courteous and polite and took the time to talk to whoever was outside. He took a beautiful photo of me on my tractor and gave it to my wife. He was very proud of that picture, It is one that my wife and I will always cherish. He will be sorely missed and was a icon to the farming community.
