It is impossible to put into words what Gram meant to our family , what she meant to me . I will miss her dearly , she was always what I felt when I needed comfort , comfort of home. She was the best grandmother and did the extra special things to make us feel better . When you were sick , gram brought you chicken soup , when your pregnant and working , gram hand delivers an eclair ring, when life gets crazy and you are struggling to keep up , gram does your laundry . What I will miss the most is talking to her talking to her about my day , and listening to her tell me to slow down . She always reminded me that I am a mother first and everything else comes next , “you need to be there for those babies “ she would say .
I promise Grandma, for you, I’m trying. I am trying slow down and appreciate the moments , appreciate how blessed I am and always put family first . It was an honor to care for you . I hope that one day I will be half the mother, grandmother , and great grandmother that you were.
