It is hard to verbalize the feelings one has for a loved one such as Grandma, particularly when you have experienced such wonderful memories with her. Elm Walk Farm was always a special place for me growing up; my summer-time stays were a highlight that have endured the test of time. Even the work with Grandma was not work (quite a feat to accomplish with a child).
When I brought Demi to meet Grandma, Demi told me what a special lady Grandma was and even though her visits were few, they were also special.
I will miss the cribbage games we played, the stories she shared, and the farm as they maintained it but the memories will always endure.
I know she is in a better place now and she will live on through our memories and the stories we will share of her with our children.
Love, James and Demi

Barbara had a lot of energy and many talents. Her love for learning and her sense of humor were evident in her teaching and interaction with her colleagues. She had strong convictions and always stood up for the things she believed in. She has touched the lives of many people.

The most important thing I learned from my Grandmother was how important it was to live life and love life and love the person you chose to spend your life with.
I look at my husband and I know I've found the love that I saw when she was with my Grandfather. I look at myself and I know I make him as happy as I know she made Grandpa happy.
I also learned that sometimes the life you share with the one you love is too short. That's why I choose to live my life to the fullest every opportunity I have. I hope in doing this I havent pushed others away.
I miss Grandma. I miss Grandpa. I miss them both, but they are together again after 18 years, they are together where they belong.
And I hope right now they are looking down at me, smiling and knowing that I learned from them.
I miss them.
I love them.

I remember my grandmother as a strong, determined woman. I wish I could have known her better or had a closer relationship with her. But I will not forget the many weekends i spent as a child, visiting and growing up on the farm. I hope she has now found peace in a better place.

THERE IS A BRIDGE CONNECTING HEAVEN AND EARTH. IT IS CALLED THE RAINBOW BRIDGE BECAUSE OF ITS MANY COLORS. JUST THIS SIDE OF THE RAINBOW THERE IS A LAND OF MEADOWS, HILLS AND VALLEYS WITH LUSH GREEN GRASS.
WHEN A BELOVED PET DIES, THE PET GOES TO THIS PLACE. THERE IS ALWAYS FOOD AND WATER AND WARM SPRING WEATHER. THE OLD AND FRAIL ANIMALS ARE YOUNG AGAIN. THOSE WHO ARE MAIMED ARE MADE WHOLE AGAIN. THEY PLAY ALL DAY WITH EACH OTHER.
THERE IS ONLY ONE THING MISSING. THEY ARE NOT WITH THEIR SPECIAL PERSON WHO LOVED THEM ON EARTH. SO, EACH
DAY THEY RUN AND PLAY UNTIL THE DAY COMES WHEN ONE SUDDENLY STOPS PLAYING AND LOOKS UP. THE NOSE TWITCHES!
THE EARS ARE UP! AND THIS ONE SUDDENLY RUNS FROM THE GROUP.
YOU HAVE BEEN SEEN, AND WHEN YOU AND YOUR SPECIAL FRIENDS
MEET, YOU TAKE THEM IN YOUR ARMS AND EMBRACE. YOUR FACE IS KISSED AGAIN, AND AGAIN, AND AGAIN AND YOU LOOK ONCE MORE INTO THE EYES OF YOUR TRUSTING PETS.
THEN YOU CROSS THE RAINBOW BRIDGE TOGETHER, NEVER AGAIN TO BE SEPARATED.
IN MY HEART,
SUSAN

There is a time to laugh and a time to cry , a time to live and a time to die. Mom and dad tought us by their actions and experiences how to laugh, how to have good times and how to cope with the bad times. They tought us how to live life to the fullest as they did. Never did see Mom or Dad cry much but there were those special moments when I was with each one of them that we cried together. The loss of Moosie and Grog and the loss of you Pop. Very great losses in my life.
Finally a time to die. Our Lord picks that. I beleve that Mom and Pop are together now and I believe that on their farm in heaven are all of their animals that they cared for and loved so much during their life time.I beleve that we all have a place in heaven and that hell is here on earth.
Special thanks to my sister Flo for taking all of her time and effort to care for Mom for many years. LOVE YOU
LOVE YOU MOM

Dear Grandma...I'm sorry I never got the chance to tell you how much you meant to me. You and Grandpa were my heroes
in my younger days. I remember like it was yesterday, you and Grandpa taking me out to dinner, teaching me to be a little gentleman with "yes sir" and "thankyou ma'am". You taught me to ride. Pasquale was my pony for years. You taught me about chickens and gardens. You took care of me when Dad and I lived with you in the '60's. I always thought of you to be so pretty and I was proud to be anywhere as long as I was with you both. I had so much fun during my summers in Thompson. Those were the best days of my life, when we were all a close family. Aunts, uncles, cousins. The farm was the place we all came together. Thankyou for treating me like I was special to you as a grandson. I'm sorry we drifted apart over the years. That was my fault. I look forward to the time that I can see you and Grandpa again. I'm sure Ripper and Jim were waiting for you by Grandpa's side, ready to run in the back fields. I love you and will miss you. Peace...Ken

Mom, At the end of your stay here on earth many times you felt no one cared and that you were not a beautiful women. From the talks we had over the years about friends and family I came to discover that your colledge years and the 47 years you were with daddy were the best years for you. When I moved in just before daddy passed and for about 12 more years things were still great for you. Unfortunately, the mind started playing games with you and on occasion you went back to the early days when doubts were there about your need to be here and whether anyone really loved you.
Well, now I am sure you are very much aware of the love we had for you and the respect that was there. I would or should say I will miss you but that would not be true. I know that daddy has been waiting for 21 years for you to join him. I am sure he had Mighty Mike harnessed for you and Barbie saddled for him so you and he could ride off into that eternal sunset. You have travelled through the Valley of the shadow of death and you feared no evil. You have now started on your next adventure and God can now look over you and daddy as you comence you never ending love affair. God Bless and enjoy all of your horses, dogs, cats, friends and family that were there waiting for you.
Forever your daughter,
FloFlo

I get to go on in life with her name and that makes me proud. The gram we grew up with was a great person who we always looked forward to visiting. I was living with her for the last couple of years and finally I see her at peace, enjoying being back to the man who found her the most beautiful woman in the world.
Be in peace and rejoice in eternity.
Love, Barbara
