Obituary of Barbara C. Versocki
Barbara C.Versocki, 91, of Thompson, passed away peacefully at Webster Manor on February 22, 2008. She born August 28, 1916 in Worcester, MA, daughter of the late Andrew and Mildred (Nash) Carrington. Barbara was the wife of the late Stanley Versocki.
Survivors include her sons Michael and wife Susan, Richard and wife Jane, and daughter Florence Fisher and husband Donald Jr., nine grandchildren and nine great-grand children.
She was a teacher in Freeport, NY and Thompson, CT. She was involved in Garden Clubs in both areas, showed driving ponies, belonged to the Hackney Pony Club, enjoyed knitting, embroidery and crocheting and took great pleasure in creating handmade articles for her family and friends.
A Memorial Service will be March 20th at 1:00 PM at the Thompson Congregational Church, 347 Thompson Road, Thompson, CT. Donations may be made in her memory to the Allegiance Hospice, 67 Middle Street Suite 503, Lowell, MA 01852. The Smith & Walker Funeral Home, Putnam is in charge of the arrangements.
