Janet M. Esch, 77, of Primrose Crossing, Dayville, died unexpectedly Tuesday, June 10, at Day Kimball Hospital in Putnam. She was the beloved wife of Maynard Weston Esch, he died in 1972. Born August 15, 1930 in Rangeley, ME, daughter of the late Payson and Emma (Haskell) Haley. She made her home in Danielson since 1988, formerly of St. Johns, MI. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Danielson. Northeast District Department of Health Clerical Assistant for ten years, and previously worked as a secretary for Gary Peloquin, CPA. Janet was an avid bowler and bowled with a league at Friendly Bowl and also enjoyed a round of mini golf. She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother. She always liked to laugh and enjoyed time out with her friends. She leaves her sons: Tracey Esch of Lansing, MI; Stacey Esch of Dayville, her daughter: Sheri Jeanne Esch of Dayville, brother: Robert Haley of Swampscott, MA; sisters: Jeanne Haley of Largo, FL; Judy Elkins of Pepperell, MA, grandchildren: Erin Racine; Mackenzie Racine; Scott Esch and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be 2:00 PM, Thursday June 19th, at Smith & Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam. Calling Hours from 12:00 to 2:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society, 106 Route 32, Franklin, CT, 06254.
