Obituary of Susan Christine Pearce

Susan Christine Pearce, 35, of Danielson died unexpectedly in her sleep on August 9, 2008 at her home in San Francisco, CA. Born September 22, 1972 in Putnam, she was the daughter of George and Iride Rossi Pearce and leaves behind two sisters, Laura Pearce and Janice Pearce-Clark, her brother-in-law Jeremy Clark, her grandmother Anita Rossi, many aunts, uncles and cousins, and many friends in San Francisco. Susan attended Killingly schools and Ithaca College, where she earned her Bachelor's degree in Anthropology. After college Susan moved to San Francisco where she lived for the past fourteen years, working most of that time at the San Francisco SPCA. She was able to share her true compassion for animals, and enjoy her love for the beach and outdoors at her home near Ocean Beach and Golden Gate Park. Calling Hours will be Thursday from 7:00 to 9:00 PM and Friday from 8:30 to 9:30 AM at the Smith & Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam. The funeral will be Friday at 9:30 AM from the Smith & Walker Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. James Church, 12 Franklin Street, Danielson. Burial in St. Mary Cemetery, Putnam.
